Art Dalton was from Pictou, Nova Scotia. He was a great skater and an excellent hockey player.

When Art was not playing competitive hockey, he was training and competing in speed skating. In 1932, he attended a competition in Sussex and won the one-mile open in two minutes 58 seconds, the half-mile in one minute 25 seconds, and the half-mile match race in one minute 23 seconds.

Dalton is an original Sport Hall of Fame inductee.
