
Clarence Johnson was responsible for the organization of much sport activity in his native Truro from the early 1940s through the early 1970s.
He managed the 1946 Truro Bearcats senior baseball champions, organized all baseball activities in Truro from 1943 to 1956, was active in the building of Colchester Legion Stadium, helped organize the Truro Minor Hockey Association in 1945, and was active in hockey management in the town from 1937 through 1954.
He also contributed his administrative ability to curling, golf, and the construction of the Centennial Swimming Pool.
