Frances L. Woodbury won many tennis titles from 1910 through the 1940’s in the province, the Maritimes, and throughout the entire country. She was the provincial doubles champion 18 times, as well as a seven-time winner of the mixed doubles title.

Woodbury was also a prodigious badminton player, winning Maritime titles in singles, doubles, and mixed. Frances Woodbury was elected into the Sport Hall of Fame in 1980.

Frances passed away in 1951.
