Mr. Gerald Mielke was the winner of six Maritime Amateur Golf Championships (eight-times finalist) and the winner of two Nova Scotia amateur titles (1927-1931). It may also be noted that Mr. Gerald Mielke as revealed in the original minutes, suggested the formation of a Nova Scotia Golf Association and was named to the first executive committees in 1929 and 1930.

Gerald Mielke was elected into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 1984.
