Harry Trainor was one of the great boxing promoters in Nova Scotia. He put together several championship fights in Pictou County including a 1952 middleweight win for Yvonne Durelle over Kid Poulton; a Richard (Kid) Howard win over Jackie Hayden in lightweight action, and Al Ford’s lightweight decision over Lawrence Hafey. Gary Simon and Blair Richardson were another notables in Trainor-promoted fights.
