Hugh Noble is a legend in sport administration in Nova Scotia. For 25 years he directed the athletic committee of the Nova Scotia Headmasters Association, the administrative body of school athletics.
Noble has actively expressed concern for physical education, recreation, fitness, and amateur sport by serving on numerous committees. As an official, organizer, and executive in such sports as track and field, football, and basketball, he has contributed much expertise. In addition, he was the first chairman of the board of governors for the Nova Scotia Sport Heritage Centre (now the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame).
