Ian MacDonald was from Pictou, Nova Scotia. He excelled in both track and field and rugby. Ian was a fine sprinter who always provided great competition for his opponents.
Due to his speed, MacDonald was also an outstanding rugby player. A highly skilled forward, MacDonald was a member of the 1921 Halifax Academy team that won the Nova Scotia Rugby Championship. Ian is an Original Sport Hall of Fame Inductee.
