The Ross-Foley crew of 1867 was composed of team members who were all from Digby, Nova Scotia. This team was the undefeated professional four-oared champion of the world. Locally, the men were the champions of the LaHave River rowing regattas, where the race was a one-mile course and the stake was a ten-dollar prize.
