The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame has over 150 years of sport history in one place. Our exhibits showcase fascinating facts, inspirational people and incredible stories.
The Sidney Crosby Exhibit at the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame chronicles the life of one of Nova Scotia’s most beloved sport heroes.
From his days of holding a baby bottle in one hand and a hockey stick in another, to winning the Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold, this exhibit captures Sid the Kid’s road to greatness and is highlighted by the world’s most famous clothes dryer.
The Sidney Crosby exhibit also serves as the finale to the Top 15 exhibit, which honours the list of Nova Scotia’s 15 greatest athletes that was compiled through a long and careful process in 2017.
The 15 athletes and their incredible stories are represented with images and artifacts.

The Hall of Fame shows off a dazzling display of its shiniest hardware covering a broad range of decades, sports and events.
This exhibit representing victory and achievement is anchored by the impressive AVCO hockey cup.
The Hall of Fame’s permanent exhibits aim to provide a glimpse into a wide variety of sports and the people who dominated them.
Artifacts and images are rotated throughout the years to continue to showcase the museum’s large collection of sport equipment and memorabilia. You can also find lists of Olympians, World Champions, Olympic medal winners and more.
Every Hall of Fame inductee has a place on this wall, where athletes, teams and builders are organized by induction year.
Accompanied by a slideshow of inductee photos, the wall ensures that every Hall of Famer has a place of honour. Computer kiosks directly across from the wall assist you with searching for that long-lost relative or childhood hero.
Throughout the year, the Hall of Fame will explore more specific themes through temporary exhibits commemorating anniversaries, showcasing a certain story or celebrating new additions. Make sure to check out the exterior of the mezzanine entrance when visiting the Scotiabank Centre for a sporting event or concert, as this is where two temporary exhibit cases can be found, including the one that typically houses the display for the most recent class of inductees.
