The Acadia University swim team that dominated the CIAU in 1977 and 1978 had a solid base. From 1975 to 1980, Acadia’s women swimmers won six consecutive AUAA championships. In the process, they established 31 AUAA records and were undefeated in league meets from 1975-1979. Jack Scholz was at the helm of these 1977 and 1978 national championship teams. His talents as a coach were recognized by the awarding of the CIAU Coach of the Year in 1978.
