
Blair Richardson was a champion inside, and outside, of the boxing ring. He was a meek, mild-mannered, soft -spoken individual, with thunder in his right hand.
Upon his retirement in 1966, Richardson was the holder of both the Canadian and Commonwealth titles in the middleweight division. During his career he had 51 fights and won 46 bouts with 36 decided by knockout.<br.
After his retirement, Richardson graduated from Northeastern University with a graduate degree in communications. Five years after his retirement, Richardson passed away from a brain tumour.
Richardson was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 1980.
