Winning the title at home in a thrilling 3-2 match against University of Calgary, the Tigers remain the only Atlantic university volleyball team, men or women, to win the CIS championship. Including all tournament and regular season play, the Tigers won 37 of 52 matches and took 118 games while losing only 50.

Coach Lois MacGregor was named AUAA Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season. Two teams members went on to star with Canada’s national team (Karin Maessen and Karen Fraser). Maessen was AUAA Most Valuable Player for the season, CIAU outstanding player of the year as well as a first team All-Canadian and CIAU tournament MVP. Fraser was an AUAA All-Star and second team All-Canadian.
