Doug Grant had the badminton world buzzing with the talk of his play throughout the 1930’s and 1940’s. He won three Canadian singles championships in 1933, 1934, and 1936. Grant became the first person in the country to be a three-time champion. In 1945 he won the world professional title and again in 1946. Doug Grant was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 1980.
