George Weatherbee was an outstanding hockey player from Springhill, Nova Scotia. In 1919, he played hockey for Springhill with fellow Original Hall of Famers Red Stuart and Billy MacKay. This team won the Nova Scotia Senior Hockey Championship, defeating the New Glasgow Black Foxes by a score of 8-4.
A great stickhandler, Weatherbee was always a threat on the ice. A two-sport athlete, Weatherbee also played baseball for the Springhill Fencebusters. George Weatherbee is an Original Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Inductee.
