Graham MacIntyre of New Glasgow is one of the giants of Nova Scotia amateur golf. He has been competing since 1958. MacIntyre has represented Nova Scotia on the national level 29 times, three on the Nova Scotia Mid Amateur Team, two on the Nova Scotia Junior team and 24 on the Nova Scotia Willingdon Cup team with a record of nine straight appearances.

He is the only Nova Scotian golfer to be recognized by the RCGA for his outstanding contribution to golf in Nova Scotia. He is a four-time Nova Scotia amateur champion and a two-time Nova Scotia Junior champion and an inductee into the Pictou County Sport Hall of Fame.
