Lou Siderski was from Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. In 1907, he enrolled at Dalhousie University’s Medical School and went on to be one of the greatest rugby stars ever to play at Dalhousie. Siderski carried the brunt of the play for Dalhousie.

Known for his excellent passing skills and athletic ability, Siderski was said to be able to leap into the air and intercept passes before the other team knew what was happening. He was considered one of the best all-around rugby players in the Maritime Provinces prior to World War I.
