Puck Pursuit: Purchase a piece of the Hall of Fame for only $50

We are creating an exciting new exhibit as the centrepiece of a bigger and better hockey section in the redesigned Hall of Fame. This exhibit will showcase Sidney Crosby’s incredible accomplishments by surrounding the famous Crosby family dryer with pucks representing every regular season goal Crosby has scored in the NHL. With 654 pucks and counting already required, we are excited to offer the opportunity for fans to celebrate Crosby and his impact on hockey history by purchasing pucks for this awe-inspiring display.

Anyone can purchase one or more pucks at $50 each, and have their name recognized as the contributor of that puck in the exhibit. Your puck will be your very own part of the Hall of Fame, preserved as part of one of Nova Scotia’s greatest sport stories!

  • Purchase a puck for you or someone else – names will be recognized by goal numbers on exhibit text panels
  • Pucks and text panels will be installed in the custom hockey board surround that will form a gallery centre piece with the Crosby dryer
  • One puck for every goal Sidney Crosby has scored in a regular season NHL game — 654 and counting
  • Milestone pucks to be sold in an online auction coming soon (1, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600)
  • Your purchase helps us finish our Hall of Fame exhibit redevelopement

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame’s familiar location at Scotiabank Centre is being rebuilt from scratch, and will offer us more space and more potential than we have ever had. We are in the final stages of construction, and will spend 2025 and early 2026 creating exciting new content, redesigning exhibits, and installing new technology and interactive experiences.

We have made it this far with our capital project thanks to the generous support of all three levels of government, major donors, corporate sponsors, and long-time friends. We are now turning to all Nova Scotians to ask for your help in ensuring our shared sport history has a home fitting of a lasting legacy that we all can enjoy. So check out the ways, at all levels of giving, that you can help us go the distance, cross the finish line, and hit the goal. Every action counts when we play as a team, so please Make the Assist. 

Make A Capital Campaign Donation

Donations of any amount make a difference, and can be made easily online using the form linked below. All donors will receive a tax receipt. Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized on signage in the completed Hall of Fame facility. The new Hall of Fame will be more than a museum – it will be a welcoming community hub; a regular stop on any family’s outing to Halifax; a place where both Nova Scotia sport history and current sport accomplishment can be honoured and appreciated.

The NSSHF redesign will allow for many improvements including three
key features:
1. The bigger museum area will provide more display space and
better recognition of NSSHF inductees
2. The facility will be fully accessible with an improved entrance
for those with special mobility needs
3. The NSSHF will be able to bring its entire collection of more
than 8,000 artifacts onsite for optimal conservation and
preservation of Nova Scotia’s sport heritage
